WebMar 6, 2024 · The Mindful Attention Awareness Scale (or MAAS) treats mindfulness as a trait that involves what the authors conceptualize as the two components of consciousness: awareness and attention. Awareness Webscale correlates significantly with the longer form, which has good internal and test-retest reliability as well as discriminant and convergent validity [Ca-cioppo et al., 1983]. The Psychological Mindedness Scale (PY) consists of 22 true and false questions and is a subscale of the California Psychological Inventory [Gough, 1969a].
